Location

Portreath is a North Cornish coastal village nestled in a valley between imposing cliffs. Its beautiful sandy beach is ideal and safe for bathing and watersports because of its often sheltered situation and RNLI lifeguard cover. Portreath village includes shops, restaurants, takeaways and is accessible with a train station in Redruth (5 miles) and a regular bus service to nearby Camborne, Redruth, Truro, Newquay, St Ives, Newquay, Perranporth, Porthtowan, St Agnes and Carbis Bay. The village and surrounding area lies in the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and also forms part of the Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape UNESCO World Heritage Site and has plenty of walking and cycling trails.

Portreath is easily accessible from the A30, a short 3 1/2 mile drive from the turn off just past Redruth.
